LawsonKeys Takes on the “Mud Runner Challenge” In Aid Of Ronald McDonald House Charity

14 September 2015

Are you up for the CHALLENGE?

7 intrepid warriors from LawsonKeys are taking on the Mighty challenge of the “Mud Runner 2015”, on Sunday October 18th, which is taking part at the historic Eastnor Castle.

This is a challenging race, involving running up and down hills, scaling obstacles and generally getting very wet and dirty as there is a whole lot of MUD around!!

This gruelling course is not for the feint-hearted and LawsonKeys competitors are preparing hard for the task by attending Gym classes at 06:45 on a Monday morning and having to carrying out exercise forfeits whilst in the office.

For example, office punishment rules include:

  • Leaving a mess in the kitchen – 20 press-ups
  • Caught singing (badly) in the office – 10 press-ups
  • Leaving lights on in the bathroom/kitchen – 10 press-ups

We like to make training fun in the office!

“Matt Reynolds, Principal Consultant” at LawsonKeys, suggested the idea, in an effort to try and raise as much money for the RMHC (Birmingham) – Ronald McDonald House Charity.

We decided to support RMHC, as it is an amazing facility that is close to our hearts. The Ronald McDonald House Charity provides parents and families of sick and poorly children who live a substantial distance away from the hospital the chance to stay close to their child whilst they are receiving treatment or recovering in hospital. It is seen as a ‘home away from home’.

Scimitar sports have kindly provided us with our own LawsonKeys Mud Runner sports tops, as we prepare to face this challenge as a team, we want to really look the part. LawsonKeys always support team building; we will be going into the race together and finishing together.

All monies raised will go directly to RMHC, and anything you can do to support our competitors achieve their goal is very much appreciated.
